Amsterdam

Specialized course “Introduction to climate modelling and application in paleoclimate”

The third training session of the CASE project will take place at Amterdam between the 23th and the 25th January 2011 hosted by Univ. Amsterdam. This training sessions will be organized by Hans Renssen.

The course offers a general introduction to climate models and their application in paleoclimatology, followed by computer practical focused on model exercises. Each participant will run a set of simulation experiments covering several aspects of Holocene climate evolution (effects of orbital forcing, freshwater forcing and greenhouse gas forcing) and learn how to analyze the climate model results.
