The AMGG teaching cruise GEO8144 is a part of the Tromsø CASE training session which begins in Longyearbyen Svalbard July 15 and ends in Tromsø July 28.

It is organized by Katrine Husum together with two colleagues from the University of Tromsø: Jan Sverre Laberg and Matthias Forwick.

 

The teaching cruise "Past and present polar marine-geological processes and climate: from fjords to the deep sea" is part of the local research school in Arctic marine geology and geophysics.

 

The study area is West Svalbard margin, Fram Strait and East Greenland margin. Onboard the R/V "Jan Mayen", the plans and objectives of the cruise will be present.
